QSECDEF Learning and Governance Statement

Version 1.0. 15 October 2026. Last updated: 15 October 2026.

How we teach

QSECDEF courses are built for working professionals, not physicists. Each course is written around stated learning outcomes and a declared number of study hours, published with the course, so you know what you will be able to do at the end and how long it takes to get there. Module one of every introductory course is free to try before you commit.

Teaching is delivered online, on demand, by practitioners who work in quantum security and defence. The lecture library holds more than 150 recorded sessions from industry experts, and a live session runs every Tuesday at 3pm CET with questions taken from the floor.

How we assess and certify

A QSECDEF credential is earned, not attended. The Certified Quantum Business Professional requires completion of all 20 lectures and a pass mark of 70% in the professional examination. The CPQCPM programme management certification is assessed by a 50-question examination.

Credentials are issued by Quantum Security and Defence Ltd, in the European micro-credential format: your name, the title, the awarding body, the date, the learning outcomes, the study hours, the form of assessment and the mode of study. A credential, once awarded, belongs to you. It does not expire with membership and remains verifiable.

QSECDEF credentials are professional certifications issued by QSECDEF. They are not regulated qualifications and carry no national qualification level. We do not claim accreditation we do not hold.

How we assure quality

Our courses are developed with reference to the European Quality Assurance Reference Framework for Vocational Education and Training (EQAVET), the European Council Recommendation on micro-credentials and the CAST Universal Design for Learning Guidelines. These are the frameworks we measure ourselves against; we publish our gap assessment and the actions we are taking against it.

Every learner is asked for feedback at the end of a course, and that feedback is reviewed when the course is next revised. Pricing, refund terms and our privacy practice are published in the Trust Centre before you buy.

How we govern

Course content is authored and approved by the QSECDEF leadership team, whose names are published on our leadership page alongside our seven named advisers. A QSECDEF Advisory Board with published terms of reference, responsible for approving new courses, assessment changes and revisions to this statement, will be constituted by 13 January 2027.

How you can correct us

If you find an error or omission in any QSECDEF course or lecture, tell us. We acknowledge every report within five working days, correct the material, record the change in a published change log and tell learners who certified on the affected content. Our community of more than 1,500 members in over 40 countries is our review panel, and we credit reporters who wish to be named.

This statement is reviewed annually and whenever a course, assessment or governance arrangement changes. Current version: 1.0, 15 October 2026.
