It could be a decision problem, majority agrees that quantum computers will eventually threaten today's encryption, but very few know where to start. Some time ago Anna Beata Kalisz Hedegaard's and Steve Vaile's Quantum Security Defense (Quantum Security Defence, QSECDEF Australia) caught my attention. Rather than building hardware or cryptography products, they're building a community and decision layer for the post-quantum transition. Today that community has more than 1,200 members across 600 organizations in 40 countries and helps security teams answer practical questions. Beyond training and expert briefings, they provide tools that help organizations assess cryptographic readiness and identify vulnerabilities before they become problems.
