About BHO Legal
BHO Legal has advised companies, research institutions and public-sector clients on national and international technology law since 2008. The practice covers aviation and space law, IT, data and data protection law, public procurement, state aid and foreign trade law, and technology-related intellectual and industrial property law. Where law, technology and highly regulated innovation projects meet, the firm is there.
The firm was founded in December 2008 by Dr Ingo Baumann, Dr Oliver Heinrich and Dr Roderic Ortner, each already experienced as legal advisers in research institutions and international law firms. In 2010 it won first prize in the nationwide law firm start-up competition run by the Hans Soldan Foundation, the German Federal Bar Association, the German Lawyers Association and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
Today more than 30 professionals work together at BHO Legal in Cologne and Munich. Advice is geared to each client's project and backed by technical knowledge and experience in project management. The aim is to identify and answer the legal questions raised by tomorrow's technologies today.
