About Austrade
The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) helps grow Australia's prosperity by delivering trade and investment services to businesses, accelerating growth in Australia's tourism sector and promoting Australian education to the world. It operates as a statutory agency within the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
With over 100 offices at home and worldwide, Austrade helps Australian exporters assess market potential, develop export strategies and find contacts overseas. It administers programmes such as the Export Market Development Grants and Landing Pads for tech scale-ups. For international investors and buyers, its advisers open doors to opportunities, Australian suppliers and government contacts.
Austrade is also the lead agency for tourism policy, programmes and official data. It leads the THRIVE 2030 visitor economy strategy and houses Tourism Research Australia. It shares commercial insights to inform government policy and is led by an executive team based in Australia, with about half its employees working in locations across the world.
