About Davide Bacco
Davide Bacco is an Associate Professor at the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Florence and co-founder of QTI s.r.l., the first Italian startup developing and commercializing quantum communication systems. He received his degree in Engineering Telecommunication in 2011 at the University of Padova, Italy. In 2015 he finished in the same University the Ph.D. degree on Science Technology and Spatial Measures (CISAS). He has been working at the Department of Electronics and Photonics Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) for the last 7 years. His research interests regard quantum communications, quantum cryptography and integrated photonics for quantum communication
Organisation
QTI is the first Italian quantum communications company, developing and producing Quantum Key Distribution systems.
Our systems are certified and secure against classical and quantum attacks and produced with a European supply chain.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Who is Davide Bacco?
- Davide Bacco is an Associate Professor at the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Florence and co-founder of QTI s.r.l., the first Italian startup developing and commercializing quantum communication systems. He received his degree in Engineering Telecommunication in 2011.
- What is the lecture "Quantum Secured Telecommunication Networks"?
- This presentation by Davide Bacco at the Quantum Security Defence World Symposium covers key concepts, challenges, and developments in quantum key distribution, quantum cyber security.
- What is quantum key distribution?
- Quantum key distribution uses quantum mechanics to exchange cryptographic keys securely. Any interception disturbs the quantum states and is detectable, providing information-theoretic security.
- What is quantum cyber security?
- Quantum cyber security applies quantum mechanical principles to protect digital communications and data. It covers quantum key distribution, post-quantum cryptography, and quantum-safe network design.
