About Adam Widomski
Adam holds a Master's degree in Physics with a specialization in Optics from the University of Warsaw, which he obtained in 2019. Prior to that, he graduated in 2018 with a degree in Photonics from the Warsaw University of Technology, earning the title of Photonic Engineer.
His research interests include quantum key distribution (QKD), photonic integration, optical communication, and optical engineering. Adam has gained valuable experience as a guest scientist at the Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica (INRIM) and the University of Oxford. He also contributed to the National Laboratory for Photonics and Quantum Technologies (NLPQT) project, working on QKD.
Outside of his scientific work, Adam has been actively involved in his community, serving as Vice- President, President, and Secretary of the Student Association of Optics and Photonics at the University of Warsaw. He is also the Vice-President and Co-founder of the Candela Foundation, which supports the Polish photonics community. Currently Adam is working on QKD systems at the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute in Berlin.
